FOSTER AWUNI

 

Mr. Foster Baba Zemi Awuni is a Project Coordinator with ACDEP delegated to implementing the “Promoting Ethno-veterinary Medicine for Sustainable Animal Husbandry Practices in Northern Ghana (EVM)” project.

Mr. Awuni worked with ACDEP as Livestock specialist for 5 years before proceeding to work as project coordinator from 2019 to date. As a coordinator of “The Promoting Ethno-veterinary Medicine for Sustainable Animal Husbandry Practices in Northern Ghana Project”, he galvanized national and international stakeholders and established network platforms, achieved documentation and publication of farmers prioritized ethnoveterinary medicine practices, established medicinal plant gardens, assisted in finding ethnoveterinary medicine for preventing and treating Newcastle disease of poultry and for preventing Keet mortality.

Prior to joining our team, he served as a programs officer for the Presbyterian Agriculture services for 12 years and was stationed in Garu, where he successfully managed the implementation of several projects. He has over two decades of experience in program development and planning, livelihood development and enhancement, Farmer Based Organizations Development and capacity building, Commodity value chain facilitation and business development, Monitoring and evaluation and many more.

Mr. Awuni acquired a BSc. in Agricultural Science and an MPhil in Agricultural Extension. He is certified in Agricultural Administration and proficiency in Project Management.

He enjoys volunteering and keeping informed through late news.
